AhlulBayt News Agency: Saudi Arabia has officially confirmed the sighting of the Dhul Hijjah moon, marking the beginning of the sacred Islamic month. The Supreme Court announced that Wednesday, May 28, 2025, corresponds to 1 Dhul Hijjah 1446 AH.
According to Mehr, as a result, the Day of Arafah, the pinnacle of the Hajj pilgrimage, will be observed on Thursday, June 5, 2025, with millions of pilgrims gathering at the plain of Arafat for prayer and supplication. Eid al-Adha, the Festival of Sacrifice, will follow on Friday, June 6, 2025.
Pilgrims from around the world are arriving in Saudi Arabia to undertake the spiritually significant journey of Hajj. To facilitate their experience, authorities have announced that Sheikh Saleh Humaid will deliver the official Hajj sermon, which will be translated into 20 languages. Additionally, free Wi-Fi will be available for pilgrims, ensuring better communication and accessibility throughout the pilgrimage.
